updations!

so its been a pretty good solid week of working in and had the day off to think and relax
here was a good dollar find to help me get ready for my trip.

flower power.
also i received my necklace from falling whistles today and now i wear it with pride am "a whistle blower for peace"

some boys not big enough to hold a gun were given merely a whistle and put on the front lines of battle.

THEIR SOLE DUTY WAS TO MAKE ENOUGH NOISE TO SCARE THE ENEMY AND THEN TO RECEIVE-WITH THEIR BODIES - THE FIRST ROUND OF BULLETS.

Lines of boys fell as nothing more than a temporary barricade.
Those who tried to flee were shot at from behind, the soldiers called it encouragement to be brace. Without a gun to protect themselves, the smallest boys were place between the crossfire of two armies- forces fighting for reasons far beyond their ability to understand.

fear like that is not logical.

100% of proceeds go to rehabilitate ex-soldiers

weep for that story. but do something for that truth.

I'm getting all my letters out, slowly but surely.
i feel as after that i will have more time to kind of reflect on the things that I'm going through in thought and prayer and hope with my trip and my future

plus grand que soi

maybe its not always finding a place accommodating to spirit and light rather finding someone to take it there.

on the subject of sacrifice, although taken with a high dosage of discipline to give up something you rely, apply, need, want, desire, dream of, embody, the biggest of all things in sacrifice is trust. Giving trust from one thing to the next abandoning your trust of something you may have always known, to shove it into the hands of a tiny thing that could very so well not be able to walk yet.

it may be difficult to give the things you have given, but thats where the fight is supposed to be, the fight isnt supposed to last , the fight has a winner.winning or not, betraying the heart of what its telling you to go for, is easier to talk to when tried and failed then never willing.

something to check out, FALLING WHISTLES

Invisible Children

I've Got Soul But Im Not A Solider
click to check out invisible children and the movement

So for who ever was wondering what got me into Africa, that link would explain it all. When i was in either 8th grade or Freshman they had come to my church and done a presentation, and while it was a tragedy, i was terribly inspired and it hasn't stopped growing in me since.in the movie they say watching and veiwing these things are sad because they make you feel uncomfortable, uncomfortable for a reason.and that feeling has been ventured since that moment.

A little about invisible children- back in 2003, three friends decided to head on over to Africa basically with the motivation of having an itch to find a story, and as they say, they get that, and a ton more.so they come back to the states and create a documentary about this place they just visited, which is a lot more than a film can justify.
Did you know there has been a war going on over 23 years in Uganda?
Did you know that within 3-5 years they have taken efforts in peace talks?
Did you know you that anyone can be apart of this movement
sincerly..

When they had visited they discovered war, murder, pain, suffering, the LRA displacement,Joseph Kony and children all balled in one.i cannot even begin to separate the passion and facts of this movie so it would be in your best interest to check it out, and if i'm in the area of you please let me know and you can most defiantly pick it up.

the most awesome thing about this organization is that they believe in the common good of people. and want you to express in what ever way you believe in to cause a difference and shape the world. they have done so much to stop the war, but even so things still need to happen. this is something i have always held close to my heart and always will.

one of my favorite things they going on right now is this.
MEND
click to check out the awsome bags

"MEND is designed to seam a personal connection between products and their makers, while repairing the lives of women in distressed regions of the world.
This is not charity. MEND is a sophisticated, competitive, and internationally inspired brand catering to style and function. A subdivision of Invisible Children, MEND is constructed with the belief that what’s on the outside and what’s on the inside should both matter equally. ™
Our handbags are story-driven. Each piece carries the name of the seamstress who made it. Each individual name unlocks online profiles of each seamstress employed in our program. Through video bios and photos she will share how she is “on the MEND” because of a simple purchase. "

another great thing about invisible children is they are super personal and get the story of the people by a person.

As for me, ive got a few fundraisers still lined up
support letters going out, and prayer
